Melbourne

That's right, we met the man himself - Doctor Karl Kennedy! It felt like being reunited with a long lost family member meeting him.

This is one of the hostels we stayed in, a room with no view!

Sunday 30 May 2010

On the Saturday after hannah arrived we wen to Bendigo and went down the goldmine there. We panned for gold too and found some. a tiny speck of it but we were proud all the same!

Then on the Sunday it was off to Fitzroy in Melbourne to stay in a flash appartment.

the view from the balcony of the museum

Brunswick street where it all happens and we spent most of the time. In pubs and watching bearded bands.

Best pub ever! Bimbo Deluxe! Sofas everywhere and $4 pizza!!

Tasmania - Waiting to dissapoint you

Well i've been to Tasmania which included two trips. A trip to Hobart (the biggest city) and Launceston (the second largest city). So the 2 biggest citys, you'd think theyd be buzzing but oh no they were silent. No one was about and it seemed like they were lonesome towns. Apart from that and it being near enough England in both climate and look I had a good time. So first is Hobart with the Cascade Brewery, Mount Wellington and Salamanca market then its up to Launceston for Boag's Brewery and the Cataract Gorge.

Hobart Town

The Cascade Brewery with me drinking buddy Javi and it looked so much like Draculas castle

Next stop Mount Wellington. Didn't get to the top due to really low cloud but got a good view
I got worried at this point, look how old he was and they were healthier back then!

Salamanca Market

Launceston Town. Monkeys, windmills and all
The Arthouse Hostel, where I stayed

The Boags Brewery

And the Cataract Gorge
